Is it OK to buy Instagram likes and followers?

Because growing on Instagram is hard, it’s easy to think about buying likes or followers. The short answer: we don’t recommend it.

Fake engagement poisons the algorithm

Instagram cares about ‘engagement relative to reach.’ If only followers go up while likes, saves, and comments don’t follow, the algorithm actually judges the account as ‘low-response’ and reduces its reach.

It doesn’t convert

Purchased followers are accounts with no interest in your product, or bots. Not only do they fail to drive sales — they also steal the chance to reach real potential customers.

Risk of restriction and shadowban

Buying likes and followers violates Instagram policy and can lead to account restrictions or a shadowban. Recovering an account that has lost trust costs far more.

Even if it looks slow, gathering real followers is the fastest path.
